Who we are

Melo Invites makes digital invitations (web links) in Pakistan. You can reach us on WhatsApp.

What we collect

When you order: the name, WhatsApp number, event date, notes and photos you enter in our order form, which design you chose, and how you found us (for example an Instagram Reel or an ad).

To make your invitation: the details you send us, such as names, dates, venues and addresses, family names, messages, photos, music and, if you want it shown, a contact number. You usually send these on WhatsApp.

From your guests: when a guest replies on an invitation, we store their name, whether they are coming, how many people, and the optional note they write.

Visits to our website: which pages and designs are viewed and where the visit came from, linked to a random id kept in your browser’s storage, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are. Invitations themselves are not tracked.

To stop abuse: we keep a short record of reply, order and sign-in attempts, linked to the network address they came from, for 24 hours. It is then deleted.

Advertising and cookies

Our website (not the invitations) may use the Meta Pixel and Google’s tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads). They set cookies so Meta and Google can tell us which of our ads and posts lead to visits and orders, and show our ads to people likely to be interested. When you place an order, and again when it is completed, we send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your phone number and first name with the order value, so it can match the order to an ad you clicked; Google receives the order value with its own anonymous browser id. You can block these cookies in your browser settings; ordering still works.

How we use it

To make and host your invitation, show it to the people you share the link with, collect replies, send you your guest list, talk to you about your order, and understand which of our posts and ads work.

Who can see it

Anyone who has your invitation link can see what is on it, so share it with the people you invite. The links are long and hard to guess, but they are not password-protected. Guest replies and the photos you send with an order are seen only by us (and the replies by you).

We never sell your information. These services handle it for us: Cloudflare (hosting the website, invitations, orders, photos and replies), WhatsApp (our chats with you), Meta and Google (advertising measurement, as described above) and Google Fonts (the typefaces on the page, which your browser downloads from Google).

How long we keep it

We keep your order, invitation and replies until you ask us to delete them. When we delete an order or an invitation, its photos (and an invitation’s music and replies) are deleted with it.

Your choices

Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your details. Guests can ask the hosts, or us, to remove their reply.

Children

Birthday and Aqiqah invitations may include a child’s name or photo. These are added by the parents, and we use them only for that invitation.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
